I'm Alessia, founder of Alessia Firenze.

We are a family-run leather workshop based in Tuscany, active since 1988, when my grandfather founded the company and named it Pelletteria Nanchino, in tribute to the Chinese city of Nanjing, which he deeply loved. When the business passed to my mother, the name became Nuovo Nanchino — a symbol of continuity and renewal. Today, I carry this legacy forward as the third generation.

The brand bears my name because, to me, this is more than just a job — it’s part of my story, woven from family, leather, and time.

We work exclusively with vegetable-tanned leather certified by the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale. A natural, living leather that changes with you: it darkens, softens, and bears the marks of a life well lived. Each bag is unique because it grows alongside the person who carries it.

With Alessia Firenze, my hope is to share the authentic beauty of natural leather.
